Bybit Login — How to Sign In, Troubleshoot & Secure Your Account

Overview

This guide explains how to sign in to your Bybit account on web and mobile, what to do when the login fails, and how to protect your account using strong authentication. Follow the steps carefully to avoid access issues and secure your funds.

How to Sign In (Web)

  1. Open the official Bybit website and click Login in the top-right corner.
  2. Enter your registered email address or mobile number.
  3. Type your password — passwords are case-sensitive.
  4. If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled, enter the OTP from your authenticator app or the SMS code.
  5. Click Sign In. You may be asked to complete a captcha or identity verification if the system detects an unfamiliar device.

How to Sign In (Mobile App)

Open the Bybit app, tap Log In, enter your email/phone and password, complete any prompted verification, and approve the 2FA code if enabled.

Troubleshooting: Login Not Working

  • Wrong password: Use the Forgot password link to reset via email or SMS.
  • No 2FA code: Check your authenticator app time sync; if using SMS, ensure your phone has signal.
  • Account locked: Repeated failed attempts can lock access temporarily — wait 30 minutes or follow account recovery steps.
  • Suspicious activity: Bybit may freeze login — contact support with requested identity documents.
If you can’t receive email resets, check your spam folder and ensure your email provider isn’t blocking Bybit messages.

Resetting Password & Account Recovery

To reset your password, click Forgot password, enter your registered email/phone, and follow the link or code sent to you. For account recovery where 2FA device is lost, follow Bybit's official recovery process — typically it requires identity verification (ID, selfie) and support ticket submission.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Enable 2FA (Google Authenticator or similar) for stronger protection. Store your recovery codes in a secure place. If you lose access to your 2FA device, use the backup codes or start the recovery process with support.

Tip: Use an authenticator app over SMS for better security against SIM swap attacks.

Security Best Practices

  • Use a unique, strong password and change it periodically.
  • Enable 2FA and keep backup codes offline.
  • Whitelist withdrawal addresses and allow only trusted devices.
  • Avoid public Wi‑Fi during login; use a VPN only if necessary and trusted.

When to Contact Support

Contact Bybit support if you cannot recover your account after following the reset and 2FA procedures, if your account shows unauthorized trades, or if you are asked to submit documents for identity verification. Keep copies of support ticket IDs and the email address used when contacting the team.
